The Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort is one of the best properties in Maui (and maybe all of Hawaii) that you can book with points. Go figure it's also notoriously difficult to actually book using your Hyatt points … until now.

We just uncovered wide-open availability to book the Andaz Maui from December through June 2025 using points. You'll see the best availability in the New Year, with standard rooms typically bookable from 40,000 to 45,000 World of Hyatt points per night. It's the best award availability we've seen in many months for what's typically a very stingy property when using points.

The Andaz Maui is a category 8 property in Hyatt's portfolio, which means that most nights will run you 40,000 points. That may seem steep, but that's as good as it gets for a high-end resort like this. And since cash rates are routinely over $1,000 a night, it's a fantastic way to use some Hyatt points – or even transfer some Chase points to your Hyatt account and book.

Plus, Hyatt's peak- and off-peak award pricing system means you may see rooms bookable for as few as 35,000 points a night – or as much as 45,000 points during busy times like much of March and April 2025.

And aside from a few blank stretches like over Christmas and New Year's as well as around mid-April, almost every date from December onward is bookable with points. There are also a few patches of award availability throughout this summer if you're looking to squeeze in a trip to Hawaii.

Nobody from the Thrifty Traveler team has personally stayed at the property, but it regularly gets great reviews. Unlike some other high-end resorts in Maui's fancy Wailea district, the Andaz is located beachside. And it's located far, far away from the northwestern coast of Maui that was badly damaged by wildfires last year.

You won't pay any pesky resort fees on World of Hyatt award bookings – something that can add up fast in Hawaii. And if you have Hyatt's top-tier Globalist status, you'll also get free parking and free daily breakfast at the resort … and maybe even a complimentary upgrade.

How to Book the Andaz Maui at Wailea

  • There is now standard room award availability at the Andaz Maui at Wailea almost every day from December through June 2025, as of publication.
  • Log in to your World of Hyatt account, search the property, add your dates, and make sure you select “Use Points” before clicking “Find Hotels.”
  • Try searching for one-night reservations at a time to ensure every night of your planned stay is available. If not, Hyatt will show you far-more expensive suite availability – or nothing at all.
  • Use the Bilt Rewards handy Hyatt hotel award search tool to find available dates.

You should be able to easily find availability to book a standard room with one king bed or two queen beds.

Current Andaz Maui at Wailea Award Availability

Standard room award availability is wide open from December through June 2025. As of publication, almost every night over that span has standard room award availability bookable with World of Hyatt points from 35,000 to 45,000 points per night.

To start, log into your Hyatt account and search for the property. You can click the “Points Calendar” option, highlighted below. One warning: This won't show you actual availability that you can book with your points, but it can help you identify nights that have either off-peak (35,000 points per night) or standard (40,000 points per night) award space.

If you want to see a calendar view of dates that are actually bookable with Hyatt points, use Bilt Rewards' free award search tool powered by Awayz.

Once you log in, you'll be able to see a real-time calendar view of bookable nights. Here's a look at February 2025, with almost every night bookable  from 35,000 to 45,000 points per night thanks to Hyatt's peak and off-peak award pricing system.

Nailing down a four- to five-night stay or longer may require some trial and error. If just one night of your stay is unavailable, Hyatt will only show you higher-priced suite availability … or maybe nothing at all. You might want to search one day at a time to ensure there's standard room availability for each date of your planned stay. Again, the Bilt tool should help you nail down available dates for a longer stay.

Bottom Line

There is great standard room award availability at the Andaz Maui at Wailea in Hawaii next winter and spring – better availability to book this property with Hyatt points than we've seen in many months, in fact. That means you can book a room for as low as 35,000 points, depending on what time of year you go.

We don't know how long this award space will last … but we'd suggest booking quickly if you've got a trip to Maui in mind for the New Year!
