Bilt Rewards' unique Rent Day promotion allows users to earn double points on the first of the month. But to celebrate Black Friday, Bilt is making the promo more of a Rent Week.

Starting Black Friday on Nov. 25 all the way through Dec. 1 (Rent Day), Bilt Rewards Mastercard holders will get double points on all non-rent spending including:

  • 6x points on dining (normally 3x points)
  • 4x points on all travel (normally 2x points)
  • 2x points on other non-rent expenses (normally 1x points)

This promo runs from 12:01 a.m. EST on Nov. 25 through 11:59 p.m. EST on Dec. 1. You can earn a total of up to 50,000 Bilt points during this promotion.

Bilt is a relative newcomer to the credit card and travel rewards game, but it has made a name for itself by allowing its cardholders to earn valuable transferrable points on monthly rent payments. Plus, the card has no annual fee.

If you hold the Bilt Mastercard and make at least five transactions per statement period, you'll earn one point for each dollar of rent (up to 50,000 annually). That means a $2,000 rent payment = 2,000 Bilt points every month.

This is easily the biggest (and certainly the longest) of Bilt's Rent Day promos to date. But Bilt is sweetening the deal with another special offer.

IHG 100% Transfer Bonus

Bilt is coming out with one of the biggest transfer bonuses we've ever seen.

On Dec. 1, Bilt is offering a 100% transfer bonus to IHG, the massive hotel chain with brands like Intercontinental, Six Senses, and Holiday Inn. But this transfer bonus will last just one day!

A 100% transfer bonus is unprecedented, as we typically only see bonuses of 20% to 30% or so. If you send 10,000 Bilt points on Dec. 1, you'll get 20,000 IHG points in your account. You get the picture.

But even with that 100% bonus, IHG is far from Bilt's best transfer partner. You're still bound to get better value from your Bilt points by transferring them to Hyatt, American, or other more lucrative loyalty programs.

How to Use Bilt Rewards Points

Bilt points can be hard to earn, but it doesn't mean they aren't useful – just the opposite. Once you've got them, they're some of the most valuable points in the world of travel.

The easiest way to use them is to book through the Bilt Rewards travel portal where each point will be worth 1.25 cents apiece – meaning 10,000 Bilt points are worth $125 toward travel.

But you'll get the best bang for your Bilt bucks by transferring points to one of its 14 travel partners, including World of Hyatt, American Airlines, Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles, United Mileage Plus, and the recently added British Airways Avios.

Bottom Line

Bilt's December Rent Day is more like Rent Week: It lasts a full seven days.

From Nov. 25 through Dec. 1, you'll earn double points on all non-rent purchases with a Bilt Rewards Mastercard. That includes a whopping 6x points per dollar on dining and 4x points on travel.

At the same time, Bilt is launching a one-day-only 100% IHG Rewards transfer bonus, giving you double points when you transfer on Dec. 1.
