Are you a Delta flyer with an Amex card like *amex platinum* in your wallet? Here's an easy way to pocket some extra points.

The bank just rolled out an excellent and easy-to-use new Amex Offer to earn a nice stash of Membership Rewards points: Spend at least $400 on Delta gift cards via delta.com/giftcards/amex, and you'll earn 4,000 Membership Reward points as a bonus. There's a similar offer floating around to earn 5,000 Amex points after buying Delta gift cards of $500 or more.

Delta and Amex team up for money-saving offers like these every now and again, but they're highly targeted. Luckily this one seems to be fairly widely available for *amex platinum* and *amex gold* cardholders. Sorry to travelers with a co-branded Delta American Express credit card in your wallet: You (probably) won't see this offer at all.

Log in and try to add one to your card ASAP, as these Delta Amex offers often disappear quickly. Once a certain amount of members add Amex Offers like this to their cards, they disappear altogether.

Delta Giftcard Amex Offer

If you haven't used Amex Offers before, think of them as digital coupons exclusively for Amex cardholders for purchases like airfare or hotels to dining, entertainment, or everyday shopping. Add this one to your Amex card, use that card to make a purchase at delta.com/giftcards/amex, and Amex will award you the bonus points within a few days (or, in some cases, a few weeks) on your account.

If you've got this one, be sure to use it to purchase a Delta gift card by Aug. 25, 2024. After that deadline, it'll no longer work.

There's one big hitch, though: Be sure to spend at least $400 in a single purchase through delta.com/giftcards/amex. That means you can't just go out and purchase a gift card at Delta.com as usual and expect to earn the bonus Amex points. And you can't split it up into several gift card purchases, either.

Some cardholders were targeted for a slightly higher 5,000 bonus point offer after spending $500.

Amex Delta Giftcard Offer

On the plus side, some cardholders were targeted for multiple offers on different cards, including Amex's business cards like *biz platinum* and *biz gold*.

If you plan on booking at least one trip with Delta in the near future, these are free and easy points for the taking.

Where to Find Amex Offers

If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, simply log into your American Express account and scroll down near the bottom of the screen and there should be a box called Amex Offers & Benefits. It’s available through the Amex mobile app as well.

If you see an offer you like, simply add the offer to the card and make a qualifying purchase at that business with your card. In this case, you’ll need to book through delta.com/giftcards/amex – not directly with Delta – for the bonus points to kick in.

You should receive your bonus points for the offer within a few days of making a purchase, though in some cases it can take several weeks. But keep in mind the minimum spend requirement to earn the additional Amex points.

Bottom Line

This is a great and easy-to-use Amex Offer to earn some bonus points for spending with Delta. And unlike many previous Delta Amex Offers, this one seems to be fairly widely available across many Membership Rewards-earning Amex cards.

Whether you've got some Delta flights to book now or know you will soon, use this offer to buy a gift card and pocket some extra points. But check now and add it to your card ASAP: These Delta Amex Offers have disappeared quickly in the past.
