When it comes to hotel loyalty programs, none come close to the value World of Hyatt provides travelers. With free night awards for as few as 3,500 points, the consistency of an award chart, and easy to earn points you can transfer from Chase and Bilt Rewards, Hyatt points are among the most valuable among the big hotel chains by far.
That's why Hyatt's latest promotion is so exciting: You can earn up to 15,000 Hyatt points (or a $150 gift card) simply by attending a 90-minute virtual timeshare promotion. While there are some restrictions to keep in mind, it's an easy way to earn even more valuable Hyatt points – and the only thing it will cost you is a little of your time.
You can sign up for this promotion through Hyatt Vacation Club, Hyatt's timeshare program. Not familiar with timeshares? It's where travelers share ownership of a resort property and have exclusive rights to stay at certain times per year. Think of it like a hotel where you don't actually have to book nights, but you can just show up on specific, agreed-upon dates each year.
To be clear, you don't have to purchase a timeshare (and we certainly don't recommend that you do) or agree to anything in the presentation to earn the bonus Hyatt points. You simply have to sit through the virtual presentation, and at the end, you'll get to choose between Hyatt points or a gift card as a thank you.
If you're choosing between points or a gift card, opt for the points! In fact, 7,500 Hyatt points were all I needed to book two nights at a Category 1 property like the Hyatt Place Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport for a recent weekend trip to France, saving me well over $300!
Again, be sure you're entering the presentation equipped with the confidence to say no to any timeshare offers. Any Hyatt points you earn aren't worth the burden of investing in a timeshare property. But if you can take the heat from the salespeople, these could be some of the easiest Hyatt points you can earn.
Who is Eligible?
Not everyone will be eligible for this promotion. Participants must have an annual salary of at least $100,000 and reside in one of the following states to get this offer:

- Georgia
- Illinois

If you are attending as a couple, both participants must meet the above requirements and be on the same video conferencing call to be eligible to receive the offer.

Bottom Line
Hyatt is out with a promotion offering travelers up to 15,000 Hyatt points or a $150 gift card if they participate in a 90-minute virtual timeshare presentation.
We certainly don't recommend investing in a timeshare property, and you don't need to agree to anything to take advantage of this promotion. But if you're eligible, these could be some of the easiest Hyatt points you can earn.
